Happenings are fun, social and educational events for those gathering around the Hot Springs. These events will be hosted at Alvord Hot Springs for day events.
Halloween Pumpkin Carving Night
October 31: 4:00-9:00 pm
Carve, feast, and celebrate at Pumpkin Carving! This fall event, held at the stunning Alvord Hot Springs, has everything you need for an unforgettable night.
​
We will provide the pumpkins and carving kits, all you have to do is bring your creativity. After you have carved your masterpiece, light it up and put it on display. You could even win a prize in one of our carving categories!
Bring Decorations to decorate your bunkhouse or campsite for an evening kickoff with Trick or Treating around the grounds. There will be a costume contest with prizes, as well.

While the pumpkins glow, feast on a delicious BBQ with Alvord Beef Company burgers and dogs, prepared by the crew at Alchemy Sky Homestead. Enjoy music, play yard games, and gather with friends old and new around the community fire pit.
Don't miss this one of a kind Halloween night of carving, good food, and great company, under the stars.

Alvord Desert Holiday Mini Photo Shoots

Make your holiday cards truly unique this year with a special photo shoot in one of Oregon's most stunning landscapes.

Join Kristin and Jesse for a one of a kind holiday experience. These are not your typical studio photos, each image will showcase your love for the desert's vast, open beauty, creating a memorable holiday card that stands out.
​
Each mini photo shoot is 30 minutes, giving us plenty of time to capture your family, friends, or loved ones against the dramatic backdrop of the desert. After your session, we will email you a link to your photos, making it easy to create and send out your custom holiday greetings.

Alchemy Sky Homestead presents a delectable farm to table dinner, featuring mouth watering Alvord Beef Company ribeyes expertly prepared, just for you. Easter Thunder Egg Hunt at Alvord Hot Springs
March 28: 3-9 pm

This Easter, trade the traditional egg hunt for a truly unforgettable family adventure in the Alvord Desert! Join us for a day of geological discovery, creative fun, and delicious food at the stunning Alvord Hot Springs.
​
Our event features a guided hike with a geologist up the scenic Pike Creek Trail. Here, we will learn about the unique volcanic history of the area and search for Thunder Eggs, Oregon's official state rock. Kids and adults alike will love the thrill of the hunt for these beautiful, bumpy spheres.
​
Back at the hot springs, the fun continues with an Easter Egg Hunt for the little ones and a dedicated Arts and Crafts station for both kids and adults to get creative.
​
As the day winds down, gather with your group for a delicious farm to table pizza dinner, featuring savory beef from Alvord Beef Company, handcrafted by Alchemy Sky Homestead. It is the perfect way to refuel and share stories from your day's adventures.
